This groundbreaking early-entry MDiv program is designed for high-academic capacity students sensing an early call to pastoral ministry. This program lays a foundation for an effective ministry of biblical understanding in the context of a local church ministry. It is designed to enable a student to do further graduate studies in a seamless BA/Master of Divinity program between Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS).

In five years, you will take 168 hours of coursework at Trinity College and TEDS. These courses are designed to meet the following goals:

 

  • Personal Maturity. The Advance: Pre-Seminary Studies graduate should be able to demonstrate a healthy sense of self in Christ, commitment to a lifestyle of ministry and progress toward godly character.
  • Cultural Engagement. The Advance: Pre-Seminary Studies graduate should be able to study the Bible in its historical and cultural context and apply it to present-day ethical issues.
  • Biblical Philosophy. The Advance: Pre-Seminary Studies graduate should be able to grasp the message of the Bible, interpret the Scriptures accurately, develop a Christian worldview, and integrate faith, living, and learning.

By completing your BA and MDiv in 5 years with the Advance: Pre-Seminary Studies Program, you will end up saving a lot of time and money. We want to help you succeed on your pathway to ministry, and we recognize that the cost of your education is an important factor in the equation. For this reason, every student accepted to Advance is automatically afforded $18,000 in scholarships during their undergraduate years and a $7,000 scholarship during their fifth year while at TEDS.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Students must have a 28 ACT with a 3.5 high school (unweighted) GPA or a 25 ACT with a 3.75 high school (unweighted) GPA to be accepted into the Advance Program. If you meet these requirements, please complete the steps outlined below to apply.
