Transfer FAQ’s

Am I a transfer student?
Trinity considers any student with 12 or more hours of previous college credit a transfer student. This excludes AP and/or CLEP credit.

What are your admission requirements?
To be admitted, a transfer student needs to submit an online application and have achieved a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA from your previous institutions

How long does it take to be admitted?
Once you have submitted your online application and all of your transcripts, you should hear back from us about admission within one week.

Where do I send my transcripts?
Email: If your previous school(s) have the option of sending transcripts by email, please have them sent to [email protected]
Mail: Trinity International University, Admission Operations 2065 Half Day Rd. Deerfield, IL 60015

Do I need to send official transcripts with my application?
For an initial review of your application, Trinity will accept unofficial copies of your transcripts. Upon enrollment, however, official copies of all transcripts are required. A student’s financial aid is also contingent on Trinity receiving official transcripts.

Credit Equivalency Guides

Wondering what credits will transfer to Trinity? We’ve developed Transfer Guides for many community colleges in the Chicagoland area, and for AP and CLEP test equivalencies.

These guides will give you a good idea of what will transfer in, however we are not responsible for alterations of course numbers, titles, or content at the community colleges listed, and upon review of these changes, we reserve the right to alter our transfer equivalencies.

Current Trinity students should consult their academic advisors and the University Records Office prior to registering for courses they intend to use for general education requirements.
