What is the MDiv with Pre-Seminary Honors Program?

Through this innovative program, you enroll at Trinity International University for two years of Pre-Seminary honors work and matriculate into Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) for three years worth of coursework pursuing your MDiv.  Similar to other academic programs with clear professional outcomes (pre-med, pre-physical therapy, pre-pharmarcy), the Pre-Seminary Honors Program acknowledges your call to ministry early in your academic life.  The program is led by a faculty mentor who understands how rigorous this program of study will be, as well as the importance of spiritual and academic preparation.

A seminary education will place you in a community of Christ’s disciples, surrounding you with students, faculty, and staff who believe not only in the saving grace of God but also in your tremendous potential as his servant. Seminary offers you all the benefits of a rigorous academic program, with the added advantage of studying with fellow believers from all over the world. If you want to accelerate the time it takes from your high school graduation to receiving your MDiv degree, you can complete this program in five years.

Who qualifies for this program?

Due to the rigorous nature of this innovative program, we ask applicants to meet the following qualifications: 28 ACT with a 3.5 high school (unweighted) GPA or a 25 ACT with a 3.75 high school (unweighted) GPA. Additionally, all applicants will supply a personal statement and a letter of endorsement from the applicant's local church, parachurch or church-related ministry. Admissions to the program will be screened by the Pre-Seminary Honors Admissions Committee, consisting of the Director of the MDiv Program (TEDS), the Chair of the Christian Ministries Department and the Faculty Mentor.
