Why I love TIU

The TIU community meets you where you are and help get you to the next place that God has for you. That can mean learning who you are, equipping you to pursue a specific goal, or challenging you in your spiritual life. I came into my college experience with no idea what I wanted to study. Through relationships with friends; classroom experiences; required field education hours; and the mentioning, investment, and patience of faculty members I discovered my passion for youth ministry.  Not only did I find an academic and vocational focus, but I learned skills and life lessons that have helped me to continue to live out my personal relationship with Christ.

Why I love TIU

I love the community of people here. Transferring to TIU Junior year, I was unsure of how easy it would be to make friends and feel connected. Right away, I was welcomed, I was included, I was home. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced and I felt a sense of belonging right away. Even though I was here for only two years, I graduated with my best friends for life and I credit that to the incredible people here at TIU.

Why I love TIU

I love that TIU feels like a family to me.  Our student body, professors, and staff are diverse, but we are all striving to push each other toward Christ in the classrooms, sports team, and extracurricular activities.  I also love that we have a graduate school and seminary on the same campus as the college.  Because of this, we have access to resources that we wouldn't have otherwise.

Why I love TIU

During my time at Trinity, it has become evident that the community here is so strong. This is a place where you can feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged. Whether you experience this from your suitemates, professors, or coach, you will definitely experience a sense of belonging.

Why I love TIU

TIU has a wonderful atmosphere of Christian community! We are small enough to have faculty and staff who are really able to invest in the lives of students here. It is a blessing to get to see students grow spiritually and then go out and influence the world we live in.

Why I love TIU

The community at TIU is unlike any other campus I have known.  Our campus in Deerfield includes undergraduate and graduate students.  Some are preparing for careers in graphic design and business. Others are pursuing full-time ministry work.  Although different and from all walks of life, TIU students share a love for the Gospel and a desire to please God with their entire lives.  Our students, from undergraduate all the way to doctoral students, are committed to being used by God to impact the world for the Kingdom.

Why I love TIU

Relationships/Community.  The quality of relationships formed is a huge part of what makes a college experience go from good to great.  You are cared for here.  Trinity is a community of people who are eager to start meaningful friendships.  It's a wonderful feeling to know that one of the staff members wants to meet with you over coffee, to ask how you're doing, to pray for you - it's real at TIU.  The quality of relationships speak for themselves.
