As a member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), we can provide incredible study abroad opportunities through BestSemester. Study art, theology and global justice issues in Australia; immerse yourself in culture and communities of Uganda and Rwanda; or push your Business major studies to China. We've had students rock out at the Contemporary Music Center in Nashville, hone their reporting skills at the Washington Journalism Center in Washington, D.C., and develop their academic writing and research skills at the Scholars' Semester at Oxford University.
Watch your education come alive in the context of another country - the stories you’ll hear and the places you’ll see will change the way you see the world. Besides semester-long overseas study options, Trinity professors lead their own short-term study abroad trips in conjunction with classes. Whenever possible, Trinity wants to provide its students with the option to travel internationally and experience the broader world for course credit—and for roughly the same cost as studying at our Deerfield campus. “Experiential forms of learning are important,” says Dr. Pointer. “They help our students come to see the world as Jesus might see it and to engage culture in a way that develops their character.”
Twenty-five students recently took “Egypt and the Bible” with renowned archaeologist and Trinity Professor Dr. James Hoffmeier and then traveled during spring break to Egypt to see ancient pyramids, tombs, and sculptures. Over the summer, History Professor Dr. Steve Pointer and Music Professor Dr. Don Hedges taught a “Trinity in Europe” Mayterm class, which included one intensive week of classes and four weeks of travel through Western Europe.
