Are you ready to get a head start on your after-college career plans? TIU offers four exciting dual degree programs that allow students to earn both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in 5 years or less with the exception of the BA in Psychology and MA in Mental Health Counseling which takes 6-6.5 years to complete. As your undergraduate studies wind down, you can begin taking Master's level courses at Trinity Graduate School or TEDS, depending on your chosen degree.
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Trinity College offer a unique opportunity for qualified TIU students who have demonstrated a heart for missions and desire to pursue intercultural studies. The Accelerated Degree Program is open to any student pursuing a bachelor degree and is particularly appealing to current students in Christian Ministries, as well as to those who are thinking in terms of social issues, MK or expatriate education, tent-making and micro-enterprise. It also has the tremendous advantage of saving a semester’s tuition cost.
If you want to have the credential and the credibility to influence the crucial ethical decisions facing our contemporary culture, here is your chance. The Dual Degree in Bioethics will allow you to engage, thoughtfully, compassionately and Biblically with bioethical issues like medical ethics, embryonic stem cell research, physician-assisted suicide, and abortion. The bioethics master’s degree will enhance any major, but is a strong complement to professions in health care, science, education, psychology, media communications, law, public, policy and church ministry. The Dual Degree can be entered as early as the summer before the junior year, with completion of the MA possible in the summer following the senior year of college, in time to enter professional and graduate schools along with your peers. Opportunities for internships/networking are available through the world-class Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity on our Deerfield campus. Our students who have completed the MA in Bioethics attest to the competitive advantage this credential affords them as they apply for jobs or pursue admission to medical schools, graduate schools and other professional schools.
If you want to develop your leadership abilities to ethically respond to the demands of a global, knowledge-based society, the Dual Degree in Nonprofit Leadership is the perfect degree for you. Graduates are prepared to lead others creatively and knowledgeably in a Christ-honoring way. In today's competitive global marketplace, it is crucial for employees to differentiate themselves by mastering soft skills such as working with other people and communicating effectively across an organization.
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Trinity College offer a dual Bachelor of Arts/Master of Arts degree that combines a BA in Psychology (Counseling Psychology Emphasis) with an MA in Mental Health Counseling. This is an accelerated program where courses taken from the Divinity School may be counted toward undergraduate requirements and where a student may apply as early as their junior year to the Mental Health Counseling (MHC) program at TEDS.
